Southern Flow

This class is taught by:

Hope Brooks

Hope's love of Yoga started in 2010, specifically Hot Vinyasa Flow, what Yoga did for her mind and body made her a regular practitioner. Reducing headaches and strengthening her hyper-mobile joints are only two ways Yoga has improved her life. She seeks out Advanced Vinyasa classes and grows the diversity of her own practice with many wonderful teachers and friends.

In 2013 Hope attended Zanti Power Yoga's Teacher Training and became certified through Yoga Alliance, RYT 200.

Pace Beattie

A Greenville native, Pace learned to cultivate health in all areas of his life through his late parents, Sam and Catherine, who were dedicated to healthy living. Pace discovered a passion for hot yoga while trying to neutralize the stress of his job at the Chicago Board of Trade and increase inner strength and peace. In 2009, Pace decided to pursue his dream to open a hot yoga studio in his hometown of Greenville and Southern Om Hot Yoga opened its doors in June 2010. Pace has completed Levels 1, 2 and 3 with the Baptiste Yoga Institute. With decades of experience in meditation and alternative health, Pace inspires students with his courage and creativity. Pace is married to Sarah Beattie, a fellow yoga teacher and integrative health coach. He serves on the board of directors for the Fullerton Foundation, a family foundation dedicated to funding healthcare and education initiatives in North and South Carolina.

Wednesday Cooper

Wednesday enjoyed a long, fulfilling career as a stay at home mom but had always enjoyed fitness. When her children were grown, becoming a yoga instructor was an obvious choice for her. Yoga offers her calmness in her mind as well as strength in her body. She also enjoys running, healthy cooking and spending time with her family and friends.

Joanna Klee

Yoga teacher, marketing leader, and kids coach Joanna Klee focuses on teaching each class with breath, sweat, and laughter. She invests the capital needed to cultivate a family vibe in and out of the studio. Adventures in global markets, in presentations across North America, and in parenting influence her teaching and translate into a playful yet intense practice.

Joanna integrates the physicality and mental focus from her passion for sports into yoga poses and athletic sequences. Side effects from her class may include heavy breathing, excessive sweating, and an unexpected urge to take new risks.

Marissa Marra

Marissa first discovered the power of yoga while living in Baltimore city in 2007, attending graduate school and searching for a healthy outlet to balance stress and establish a consistent workout routine. The physical and mental demands of hot yoga, positive environment, and desire to learn more- kept Marissa coming back to her mat. A few major life changes later- a move to Hawaii, and self discovering journey lead her to delve deeper and complete a 200RYT from Corepower Yoga Hawaii- heavily Baptiste and Iyenger inspired. Yoga became therapy, a safe place to turn inward despite the external world- which lead to a better version of self. Marissa guides with compassion, influenced by a medical career working with the Brain Injury population -creating a judgment-free space of encouragement and limitless beliefs. With mind-body-spirit connection; happiness, self-love and a balanced life are always available.

Melissa Howard

Melissa's been practicing yoga since before she really knew she was practicing yoga. She worked on crow and handstand in her front yard as a young girl and begged her mother to put her in gymnastics. Her mother finally gave in and from 7th grade until 12th grade Melissa practiced gymnastics. After graduating high school she continued this love of gymnastics, for 2 years, by teaching tumbling classes to children. It wasn't until 2001 that Melissa stepped into her first yoga class and after several months of finding the right class, she knew she was hooked. Yoga helped her though depression and anxiety, as well as many of life's milestones. By 2010 she decided she wanted to teach yoga and share this gift that she so cherished. She completed her 200 hr RYT at Dharma Yoga Studios with the love and guidance of Chris Brown. She continued on her learning journey by completing her 300 hour RYT at Asheville Yoga Center with the help of Stephanie Keach. Also getting a certification in Prenatal Yoga and Children's Yoga. Melissa loves teaching Flow as well as Yin/Restorative and continues to grow herself as a teacher to better benefit her students. In addition to her yoga certifications she is also certified in Mat 1 and Mat 2 Pilates. When Melissa is not on her mat, she's running, cycling or hanging out with her husband and 3 kids.

Sarah Primeau

Yoga found Sarah back in 2004 when training and racing for endurance sports began to cause wear and tear injuries on a consistent basis. Once she landed on a yoga mat, she quickly learned to fully appreciate the mind, body and soul connection that only yoga seemed to be able to provide. In 2008, she received her 500 Hour Yoga Alliance certification through Sunstone Yoga in Dallas, TX and has been teaching and continually learning ever since. Encouraging and enabling others to live a healthy lifestyle, Sarah is also certified in Itsy Bitsy Yoga ©, SPINNING©, and STOTT© Pilates. Her ultimate intention for each class is to enable students to take their yoga practice with them out into the world beyond their mats.

Claire McCreight

Claire grew up in Greenville and recently moved back after living in Texas. She found yoga in 2009, and has discovered greater awareness and connection through the practice ever since. She completed her 200 hour RYT through Soul Yoga Studio this February. Her passion for yoga and travel has taken her to studios in Europe and to work for Lux Yoga in France. Claire holds a BFA in Theatre from TCU and is now pursuing Film with Screen Artists Talent of Asheville.

Claire believes a yoga class is a safe and magically playful space where we can drop our labels and find freedom through movement. Claire encourages all of her students to tap into their own spark of creativity. Her classes are influenced by mindfulness, music, and breath.

When she’s not in the studio, you can find her on her bike, in the park, or always making a delicious mess in her tiny kitchen!

Allison Hall

Allison recently moved back to Greenville after being abroad for the past 15 months in Munich, Germany. Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, she received her 200 RYT from Charleston Power Yoga, a Baron Baptiste affiliate school, in 2012, she received her Yoga Sculpt certification from Core Power Yoga in Denver, CO in 2013, and is currently on the path to receiving her 500 RYT.

Allison began her yoga practice in 2005 after serious injury to her shoulders. Through yoga, she was able to find a path of healing both physically and mentally. Allison's classes are creative, fun, and accessible for all levels. She offers hands on adjustments and modifications to set each student up for success. Come to have fun and don't take yourself too seriously!
