A longtime fitness enthusiast, Sarah had never tried yoga until meeting Southern Om owner Pace Beattie at a local health fair in 2011. She quickly became addicted to the physical and mental benefits of the workout, and found that the heat greatly alleviated her symptoms of psoriatic arthritis. Sarah and Pace also quickly realized they shared a love for both physical and mental health and began a strong partnership, and were married in 2013. Sarah has completed Levels One, Two and Three with the Baptiste Power Yoga Institute, in addition to Art of Assisting and Advanced Art of Assisting. She is in the process of becoming a Tier One Baptiste Certified Teacher. Sarah teaches the Southern 26 and Southern Flow series at Southern Om and is also the studio manager. Sarah is a breast cancer survivor and is an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach.
She sits on the board for Gateway, a Clubhouse model of psychiatric rehabilitation for adults with severe mental illness located in downtown Greenville. She is also active with her church, Holy Cross Episcopal in Simpsonville.
Pace & Sarah have an affinity for moving, and share homes in Greenville and Fountain Inn with her dog Lady.

Southern Flow is a flowing series of sun salutations, lunges, twists, balance postures, backbends, core strengthening, hip openers and inversions often referred to as Power Yoga. Designed to build core strength and flexibility while still maintaining focus on a meditative practice.
Power Hour is an abbreviated version of the 90 minute Southern Flow Hot Yoga class designed to build core strength and flexibility. (with less rest breaks)
Southern 26 is a classic series of 26 postures held for 20, 30 or 60 seconds and repeated on the other side, known worldwide as ‘hot yoga’ and based on the work of Bikram Choudhury.
