Caroline began practicing yoga in 2011 as part of physical therapy for a disk injury in her lower back, and through high school and college, yoga continued to be a constant in her life. She completed a 200 hour training through the Baptiste Institute in May 2017, the day after her graduation from Furman University. In June 2017 she received an additional certification with the Baptiste Institute in Kids Yoga and taught with the Kentucky Yoga Initiative that same summer teaching yoga to kids living in transitional housing units. Yoga has been an integral part of Caroline's physical and mental health and she believes that a regular practice in hot yoga can change a person's life, just as it changed hers.
When Caroline isn't teaching or taking hot yoga classes at Southern Om, she loves traveling the globe and spending time with her live-in lion/ tabby cat, Egg Nog.

Join us at Southern Om for a $5 Community Class! On Fridays at 6:45 pm, we offer a $5 Southern Flow with upbeat music to start your weekend off in style! These classes are great opportunities to introduce new yogis to our studio for just $5.
Southern Flow is a flowing series of sun salutations, lunges, twists, balance postures, backbends, core strengthening, hip openers and inversions often referred to as Power Yoga. Designed to build core strength and flexibility while still maintaining focus on a meditative practice.
