Discovering the power within…

Last week we shared a little about the acronym SOAR in our newsletter and how it relates to your successful health and wellness path. SOAR stands for Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations and Results. We want you to SOAR with us this year!

This week we want to help you recognize and affirm your many strengths.

We often take for granted the diverse things we can do and accomplish. Your strengths are great assets along the road of healing.

Below is a list of some character strengths that we know yoga can help us all cultivate.

Some key benefits of physical strength in daily life are:

  • Improved mobility: Easier to get up from chairs, bend down, and reach for things.

  • Better posture: Strong core muscles help maintain proper posture throughout the day.

  • Reduced fall risk: Increased muscle strength improves balance and coordination, lowering the chance of falls, especially as you age.

  • Pain management: Strong muscles can alleviate joint pain and discomfort.

  • Weight management: Building muscle mass helps boost your metabolism, making it easier to control weight.

  • Increased confidence: Feeling physically capable can improve self-esteem and overall well-being.

Not only can yoga make you strong, it can also make your body more flexible and reduce stress. By starting with poses like dolphin push-ups and half handstand, you can build and tone muscles throughout the body, and your mind will get a workout too.

Strong mental health naturally leads to a confident and capable mindset. #resilience

Join us this week for a class to help build strength mentally, physically and emotionally.
