What is Hot Yoga?
At Southern Om, hot yoga is more than just yoga in a warm room. It’s a dynamic, intentional practice designed to cleanse the body, focus the mind, and ignite the spirit.
Our rooms are heated to approximately 100–105°F with added humidity to help you safely stretch deeper, release toxins through sweat, and accelerate cardiovascular conditioning.
We offer several unique class styles and highlight two here:
Southern 26 – A set sequence inspired by the classic Bikram-style method that builds strength, stability, and stamina.
Southern Flow – A vinyasa-based practice that combines breath with movement for a fluid, meditative experience.

What to Expect in Your First Class
Walking into a hot yoga class for the first time can be exciting—and a little intimidating. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
Here are a few tips:
Hydrate well before class and bring a water bottle.
Wear moisture-wicking clothes you can move and sweat in.
Bring a mat and a towel (or rent one from the studio).
Arrive early to get acclimated to the heat and meet your instructor.
Remember: It’s totally normal to take breaks. Listen to your body and honor your own pace.
