I have been practicing hot yoga for 12 years and I am so glad. I was diagnosed with cancer in January of 2012. The doctor said it is hard for cancer cells to grow in extreme heat. My first class was 105 degrees with 40 percent humidity. I thought that was really extreme but the next day I loved it. Hot yoga helps me to sleep better, worry less and enjoy life more. I will continue until I no longer can. I don’t know if it will make me live longer but it will improve my life while I am here. If you are thinking this practice is not for you, give it two weeks and you will love it or say I will try another style of yoga.
