A Little Play Belongs in Your Practice

We often talk about the dedication it takes to show up for yoga. But there’s something else that keeps us coming back: enjoying the experience—and the people we share it with.

Sometimes connection begins with a conversation before class. Sometimes it’s a familiar smile across the room. And sometimes it’s finding out the person practicing beside you came dressed as a superhero.

This Halloween weekend, we’re making room for a little extra fun at Southern Om with a costume contest at both our West End and Woodruff Road locations. Wear your best costume for a chance to win $50 added to your Southern Om account!

Creativity is part of the fun

Your costume can be elaborate, funny, handmade, or wonderfully simple. You don’t need to buy something new to join in. Start with what you have, add a little imagination, and choose something that lets you move comfortably in class.

Giving ourselves permission to be playful can be a welcome break from the responsibilities and routines that fill our days. It’s an opportunity to try something different, laugh at ourselves, and enjoy showing up exactly as we are—even if that happens to include a cape.

Shared moments build community

A costume gives someone a reason to say hello. A shared laugh makes the next conversation easier. Over time, those small interactions help create a place where we feel welcome and connected.

That’s what we love about bringing our community together. The practice matters, and so do the moments around it.

Join us this Halloween weekend Friday and Saturday at either Southern Om location.

Bring your creativity, enjoy your practice, and give yourself a chance to win $50 on your account.

Book your class and let the costume planning begin! 🎃

See you on the mat.
