How Adrienne Found Herself Again: A Story of Healing Through Hot Yoga
Every now and then, someone walks into the studio whose presence reminds us why we do what we do.
Someone who shows us, simply through the way they show up for themselves, that yoga is so much more than poses, sweat, or flexibility.
It’s a lifeline.
A homecoming.
A way back to who we always were.
Adrienne is one of those people.
When she first stepped into Southern Om, she was in the middle of a major life transformation. She had already committed to changing her habits, her patterns, and her relationship with herself.
But one of the most powerful shifts she made was choosing daily hot yoga as part of her healing journey.
What unfolded from there is nothing short of extraordinary.
Adrienne has released over 92 pounds — not just from her body, but from her spirit. The weight of old stories, old versions of herself, and old ways of coping began to melt away each time she stepped onto her mat.
What started as a physical practice quickly became an emotional and spiritual one.
And somewhere along the way, she found more than a workout.
She found community.
She found belonging.
She found a new way of living.
Yoga does that.
It meets you where you are, holds you through the hardest parts, and shows you the strength you forgot you had.
We know yoga helps… but Adrienne reminds us, with such honesty and courage, that yoga truly heals.
Her story is a reminder that transformation doesn’t happen overnight — it happens moment by moment. Breath by breath. Choice by choice.
And sometimes, all it takes is the bravery to walk into a hot room, roll out your mat, and say, “I’m ready to change.”
Adrienne, thank you for inspiring all of us.
Your journey is proof that when we choose ourselves, everything changes.
